The conference will take place in the Belvue Museum, Coudenberg Museum and on the underground archaeological site of the former palace Coudenberg.
Belvue Museum
The Belvue Museum tells you the story of the history of Belgium, a 200-years old, ever-changing country. More than 1,500 documents, historical photographs, film extracts and artefacts in 9 halls portray the key moments in the history of the country, from the revolution in 1830 (at the same location as the Belgian victory) up to the most recent Government reforms.

Coudenberg Museum and the archaeological site
February 3th 1731, evening: fire in the palace of Coudenberg! The Brussels fire brigade turned out but... protocol prevented quick intervention. Due to the unclear and strict rules, the palace was completely destroyed, because the fatigued governess of the Netherlands, Marie-Elisabeth of Austria, fails to extinguish the candles...
Some forty years later, the ruins of the palace are pulled down and the ground flattened out for the construction of the new royal district. The remains of this palace make up the Coudenberg archaeological site.
